State law requires regular and punctual attendance. On each day your child is absent, please call the Attendance Number (760) 290-2400 ex.#4 with the reason for the absence. Should a situation arise which requires your child to be absent from school for 5 days or more, please notify the teacher and the office in advance. An Independent Study Contract will be required to be completed.

Late students must first report to the office for a Tardy Pass prior to going to their classroom. The start of the school day is one of the most important times of the day for your child. Please work to always have your child to school on time.

• Students may not be on campus before 8:15 a.m., as there is no supervision. We ask for your cooperation in ensuring the safety of your child(ren).
• Breakfast is served in the cafeteria from 8:15 to 8:45 am.
• Students in grades 3-5 are permitted to ride bikes or scooters to school. Bike/scooter riders must obey all safety rules and wear helmets. Students who violate rules of safety may lose the privilege of riding their bikes to school.
• Please no skateboards, roller skates/wheelies or motorized scooters.
• Walk bikes/scooters when on campus.
• Use designated crosswalks at all times.
• Stay out of the hallways before school starts.

• Students may not leave school early unless they are signed out and picked up in the office by a parent or other person authorized on the emergency card. The office must have all names in writing, even relatives.
• Please try to schedule appointments after school hours to avoid early pick ups, as we want to ensure we make every minute count!

• Students must leave school promptly at 3:10 p.m. and be picked up no later than 3:30 PM.(Wednesday dismissal is one hourly)
• After-school supervision ends at 3:30 p.m. Children that are not picked up on time by 3:30 PM will need to have a parent sign them out in the office. We would appreciate the cooperation of all parents in adhering to the pick up times.
• Pick up arrangements must be made with your child before school.
• Walk on the sidewalks in a quiet and orderly fashion.
• Walk bikes when on campus.
• Use designated crosswalks and follow directions of supervisors and crossing guards at all times.
• Skateboards are not allowed on campus.

If you should have a change in your address, phone number, or emergency phone numbers, please notify the office immediately. In the event your child becomes ill or is injured, authorized persons must be able to be contacted.

Visitors are required to sign in at the school office before entering the school grounds or classrooms. Visitors need photo identification to sign in electronically and they must wear an identification sticker while on campus. Classroom and teacher visitations are welcomed, but advance arrangements with the teacher are needed. Siblings and other children may not accompany visitors during school hours. Parents may eat lunch at school with their children on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month.
